Burnout and emotional exhaustion

Sleep disruption and difficulty shutting off

Irritability and stress spillover at home

Feeling flat, overloaded, or worn down

Trouble decompressing off duty

Work-life imbalance

Post-incident strain and cumulative stress

Needing practical support without fluff

About Jason

I’m Jason, a mental health professional, educator, and trainer with more than 20 years of experience in crisis response, forensic mental health, substance use education, and frontline systems.

Through Blue Line Connection, I provide practical, private coaching for law enforcement professionals and other first responders dealing with stress, burnout, post-incident strain, and work-home spillover.

I’m drawn to this work because I respect the mission of first responders and understand the pressure that comes with the role. I have nearly 20 years of direct work alongside law enforcement, including years of riding together, and daily collaboration with officers, deputies, courts, and crisis-response systems.

I have also provided training for law enforcement, first responders, and community members across Multnomah, Washington, and Clark counties on mental health, substance use, crisis response, and crisis intervention topics.

FAQs

Who is this for?

Blue Line Connection supports law enforcement and other first responder professionals facing issues like burnout, stress, sleep disruption, post-incident strain, or work-home spillover.

What happens in a coaching session?

We talk through what is going on, identify your stressors, and leave with a practical action plan. The goal is not vague inspiration. It is clarity and next steps.

Is it confidential?

No. I take private pay only. This ensures a lower price per session and makes it so we dont have to give you a mental health diagnosis or report your confidential conversations to an insurance company.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes, I provide training and consultation designed specifically for law enforcement and other first responder agencies around a variety of topics such as self-care.

How do we meet?

Coaching sessions are offered online for convenience and accessibility.

How do I get started with coaching?

Simply book a free consultation through this website or contact us by phone or email to begin.

Do you take insurance?

Counseling is clinical treatment that commonly requires you to be diagnosed with a mental disorder which is then reported to insurance companies for billing. Coaching is not counseling; it focuses on practical, private support, clearer thinking, stress management, and action steps for handling work and life pressures.

What's the difference between counseling & coaching?

Absolutely. All coaching sessions and communications are private and secure, fully respecting your confidentiality. In addition, because Blue Line Connection does not bill insurance, your information is not submitted to an insurance company.
